Hastelloy B-2 corrosion properties

Medium

The reduction of carbon content in the Hastelloy B≤0.02%, which can reduce and delay the precipitation of carbides at high temperature and improve the resistance to intergranular corrosion in the sensitized state. Nickel-molybdenum alloy has 600~900℃and 1300℃of two intergranular corrosion-sensitized zones, in which the MoC、δphase and Ni7Mo6 phase will precipitate, thus reducing the Mo content of grain boundary accessories, resulting in the sensitivity of intergranular corrosion
