Excellent controllability: Specially machined and polished shaft reduces friction  hysteresis and torque requirement.
Fire safe design: The RTFE + Inconel back up ring is engineered to seal off pipeline flow in the event of a fire. In normal operation the RTFE seat with Inconel metal back up ring allows bi-directional bubble tight close off up to the full ANSI rating. In the event of a fire if the fire destroys any part of the RTFE encapsulated seat the inconel metal back up ring will stay in constant contact with the disc to provide a metal to metal back up seal.In emergency fire conditions the line pressure is immediately reduced and the area is foamed to extinguish the fire. The resulting pressure loss and rapid cooling causes the valves to fail. Because the Procentric seat design does not rely on media pressure to seal the back up ring performs in fire safe conditions to safely contain the flow.
Long usage: Long life durability due to double offset operating principle minimizing seat wearensures a progressive smooth and low friction seat-disc closinghardened sealing surface to provide high level of tightness and long lifetime.
Low torque: Low output torque requirements allow the use of less costly actuators.With the elimination of the wear torque is significantly reduced. Lower torque means a smaller actuator and that saves money.

Disc: Disc is electroless nickel plated for enhanced temperature and abrasion resistance.
Precision profile disc: Provides bubble-tight shut-off and assures minimum torque and longer seat life.
Retainer ring: Retains seat in valve. Standard surface finish is 125 to 200 AARH and is compatible with both standard gaskets and spiral wound gasket designs. Outside diameter is recessed within gasket sealing surface to prevent external leakage.
Stellite seat: Offers optimum resistance to erosion in abrasive and high velocity applications

Bearings: Both above and below the disc bearings are of composite design: PTFE bonded to epoxy-glass filament wound ring. Used to align shaft with high capacity low wear and low friction coefficient.

Key: Square key valve-to-operator connection provides an externally controlled failure point upon over-torquing.
Live loaded adjustable packing: Power-Seal come standard with Live Loaded packing. Three sets of Belleville washers are added to each gland stud to maintain a selfadjusting packing load.
Locking device: Available in single or bidirectional configurations the overtravel stop device prevents disc from rotating into the wrong quadrant while maintenance is performed on the disc
